Alfred Henry Ferguson
Alfred Henry Ferguson was born in Belfast in 1926 and worked as a building and painting contractor.
Ferguson was elected as a councillor to the Belfast Corporation for Cromac Ward in May 1969, representing the Ulster Unionist Party.
Ferguson served on the Belfast City Council Education Committee, Gas Committee, Library Committee and Local Security Committee. He was elected as Chairman of the Transport Committee from 1972-73. He served as Chairman of the Parks Committee from 1980-81, having acted as Deputy Chairman from 1977-78.
In 1982, Ferguson was appointed High Sheriff of Belfast. He was a member of the Eastern Health Board.
