Danny Baker was born in Belfast in 1982. Former student of both De La Salle College and St Colm's High School, Danny Baker was co-opted onto Belfast City Council in 2017 and subsequently re-elected in 2019, representing the Collin electoral area. Baker was appointed as Lord Mayor in December 2019 after incumbent Lord Mayor John Finucane was elected an MP in the 2019 general election. Baker made Mental Health and the issues of Young People to be the focus of his term in office. Daniel Baker was elected as MLA for Belfast West in May 2022.
